Another Tragic Drunk Driving Accident in Conroe

In Montgomery County, police officers have stepped up their efforts to reduce the number of drunk driving accidents. In the last few years, there have been many serious head-on, drunk driving wrecks in the area. Montgomery County was listed as the 10^th highest area in Texas for drunk driving deaths. In response to this, police officers really cracked down this summer, increasing patrols, blood-alcohol testing, and arrests. Their efforts have paid off; drunk driving deaths are indeed down this year from previous years. A family of four tragically lost their lives in a terrible crash that occurred in the middle of the day. Two teenagers in a separate vehicle were also injured in the accident. The 68-year-old man who caused the accident is now facing four counts of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of intoxication assault for the 3 vehicle accident.  The victims that died were a 49-year-old father, a 42-year-old mother, a 6-year-old child, and a 4-year-old child. The family’s vehicle was unrecognizable following the crash. Friends, family, and neighbors of the victims are still reeling from the horrific tragedy.
